WAUKEGAN, Ill. — A human arm that washed up on a Waukegan beach has been connected through DNA testing as belonging to Sade Robinson — A 19-year-old woman identified as a victim in a Milwaukee murder case back in April.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) notified the Lake County Coroner’s Office (LCCO) of the DNA results Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the LCCO.
Robinson’s family was notified of the DNA testing results by the MCSO shortly after confirming the details with the LCCO.
The LCCO said the arm was originally found on Saturday, May 11, at around 8:30 p.m. and they were called to Waukegan Municipal Beach to collect the arm, which was mostly intact, and conduct a forensic analysis to confirm the victim’s gender and age range, now confirmed to be Robinson.
“On behalf of the Lake County Coroner’s Office, I want to express our sincere condolences to Sade’s family and friends who continue to endure this tragic loss,” said Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek.
Previously reported by the Associated Press, 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson is the man charged in the Milwaukee murder cases where Robinson was identified as a victim.

Anderson was jailed on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and arson charges in the death of Robinson, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County circuit court.
Anderson, a Milwaukee resident, was arrested on April 4, two days after a leg was found by a passerby at Warnimont Park along Lake Michigan in Cudahy, Wisconsin. The leg had been severed just below the hip.
Robinson had been reported missing on April 2 by a friend. An employee of the building where Robinson lived told police that Robinson was excited about a date she had planned for April 1, according to the complaint.
Surveillance video from a restaurant showed Robinson and Anderson sitting together at the bar on the evening of April 1. Her burned car was found the next morning.
“At this point in time, we don’t believe there are any other victims out there,” Milwaukee County Sheriff Denita Ball told media back in April.
