WAUSAU – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders handed the Wausau Woodchucks just its fourth home loss of the season, winning 4-1 in Northwoods League baseball action Saturday night at Athletic Park.

Garrett Lott (Bossier Parish) made his 2024 return for the Woodchucks and pitched the ninth inning, striking out two.

The Woodchucks’ defense was on display yet again as Jake Berkland (Mankato) had another strong defensive outing with five fielding assists and Logan Kreske (Wichita St.) had a great throw to put out a runner at second.

The Woodchucks (29-9, 3-1 second half) will return to Athletic Park on Sunday to take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. It is Game 1 of a home-and-home series, and is Family Day at the ballpark.
