    WHITTLESEY – The Wausau Post 10 Legion softball teams posted another pair of victories as the Junior team won 16-1 and the Seniors team was victorious 19-8 over Whittlesey on Tuesday.

    The Patriots scored five runs in each of the first two innings and added six more in the third to win the Junior game in four innings via the 15-run rule.

    Gabi Heuser homered and drove in three runs, and Mallory Smogoleski had three hits, scored three times and added two RBI for Wausau.

    Nora Hintz went the distance on the mound for the Patriots, striking out seven and allowing just three hits in four innings of work.

    In the Senior game, Wausau used an 11-run second inning to take a commanding lead and won in five innings due to the 10-run rule.

    Heuser went 3-for-4 with another home run, three RBI and four runs scored to pace the Patriots.

    Allison Kirsch and Paityn Calmes each had three hits, with Calmes and Addie Heil each had three RBI for Wausau.

    The two teams will play again at Sunnyvale Park in Wausau on Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
