Two people were injured Monday in a crash involving a horse-drawn vehicle, according to a Vernon County Sheriff’s Department release.

The crash, which also involved a motor vehicle, happened Aug. 26 on County Hwy. KK northwest of Waldenberger Lane, near Hamburg.

Police say 30-year-old Kurtis Woodhouse, of Genoa, was traveling southeast on Hwy. KK in his motor vehicle when he looked away momentarily and struck the rear of a horse-drawn vehicle. Woodhouse was not injured in the crash.

The driver of the horse-drawn vehicle, 34-year-old Reuben Miller, and his passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Miller, both of Chaseburg, were injured.

Reuben and Andrew Miller were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and were released Monday.

    The crash remains under investigation.
