Wausau East/West places fourth, D.C. Everest fifth at Wisconsin Rapids Girls Golf Invite

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – D.C. Everest’s Ella Szekeress earned a top-10 finish at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational on Monday at Bull’s Eye Country Club.

Onalaska finished with a score of 383, one shot better than Marshfield. Wisconsin Rapids was third with a 391, followed by Wausau East/West (427) and D.C. Everest (453).

Marshfield’s Brielle Lenz finished first individually by four shots over Onalaska’s Finley Schams.

Szekeress led the Evergreens with a 96, placing seventh. Kesley Meverden added a 122, and Anna Meyer and Sophia Wagman each shot 124 for D.C. Everest.

Ella Wendling tied for 11th with a 101, Brooklyn Freiberg had a 106, Natalie Doering shot a 107 and Anika Creisher had a 113 for Wausau East/West.

Wausau East/West will host the first Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet of the season Wednesday at Trapp River Golf Course.
