    Wayne County Coroner confirms two dead in Waymart incident

    WAYMART, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say two men are dead after an early morning incident at a quarry and asphalt plant in Wayne County.

    The Office of the Wayne County Coroner confirms in a release two men, 51-year-old Brian Edwards from Honesdale and 72-year-old James Martzen from Waymart, died at the Wayco Inc. Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Waymart.

    Both men were pronounced dead on scene, according to the release.

    Officials say the investigation is ongoing, however, their deaths are not considered to be suspicious.

    Officials say both men were employed by two different privately owned trucking companies, authorities explained.

    The coroner’s office says autopsies are set for Friday morning.
