Man shot to death inside Chester, Pennsylvania convenience store identified
Police in Chester, Pa. have identified the man who was shot and killed inside a convenience store earlier this week.The shooting happened inside the Lucky 7 store on the 1100 block of Morton Avenue around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday.Police say officers arrived to find 27-year-old Dontae Dickerson on the floor of the store with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.The shooting reportedly happened after an argument inside the store.No arrests have been made.Chester police ask anyone with information to contact City of Chester Police Department Detective Patrick Flynn (610) 447-8444 or Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division Christopher Karr (484) 745-5534.
Philadelphia Officer in Critical Condition After Being Shot During a Traffic Stop
A Philadelphia police officer is in critical condition after being shot during a traffic stop on the 3500 block of F Street, Saturday night. According to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, the officer was struck behind the ear and is fighting for his life. Mayor Parker confirmed that the officer is on life support and connected to a breathing machine.
4 suspects sought after attempted purse robbery turns violent in North Philadelphia
Police are looking for four people accused in a violent robbery.New surveillance images were released Friday of the June 23 incident on North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.The suspects include four males and two females.Police say the two female suspects tried stealing another woman's purse.When her friend intervened, all four suspects assaulted that friend.Police also say three of the suspects were also involved in an assault earlier that same day in the 1500 block of Cecil B. PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman was struck by multiple vehicles including a SEPTA bus and killed early Saturday morning in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.The 66-year-old woman was in the 5800 block of Frankford Avenue by Wissinoming Park when she was hit by a white Dodge Durango.The impact knocked her into the path of a SEPTA bus coming from the opposite way, which also struck her, police said.The Dodge and the bus both stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.The woman was pronounced dead at the scene just before 1:30 a.m.

Video shows suspects in South Philadelphia shooting that injured 5 men, police say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Surveillance video released by Philadelphia police on Wednesday shows the suspects wanted for shooting five men in South Philly. The shooting happened outside Twin Dragon, a Chinese restaurant located at 27th and Dickinson streets on Monday night. The video shows two men firing into the restaurant, and then another person in a black SUV shooting as the car drove away. Three of the five men injured in the shooting were 21 years old. In addition, a 45-year-old man was shot once in the left thigh and a 23-year-old man was struck in the right thigh and twice in the left leg.
