Mount Lookout to hold camp meetings
WAPAKONETA — Mounty Lookout Holiness will hold camp meetings from Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, July 28 at 16862 Wrestle Creek Road near Waynesfield. A potluck meal will start at 4 p.m. Saturday, while camp meetings and youth services will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.
More local Rite Aid stores added to list of closures
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - More local Rite Aid stores will be closing as the company tries to reduce expenses through bankruptcy. According to documents filed at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Rite Aid on Robb Avenue in Lima will be closing in August. The store on North Main Street in Findlay is also on the chopping block. The St. Marys store's closing was announced by Rite Aid last week.
Lima Utilities Department assures residents that water is safe to drink
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A letter received by Lima water customers has many consumers concerned. The Lima Utilities Department assures residents that the water is safe to consume. The Environmental Protection Agency requires water departments to report if any levels are higher than the EPA standards found in normal testing of the water. The water department found that there was a slight increase in one specific chemical that can form during the water treatment process.

Standoff on Crestwood Drive in Lima ends peacefully after two hours
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima man allegedly refused to leave his home when Allen County Sheriff deputies tried to execute a protection order. 26-year-old John Peterson III walked out of 807 Crestwood Drive after a two-hour negotiation with the sheriff's department after he barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies were trying to execute a court-ordered protection order when Peterson closed the door and refused to come out.
Lima to triple donations for projects
LIMA —The Lima Thriving Communities Match Program will triple donations, up to $10,000 to match funding for any project, the city announced Tuesday. Lima previously announced the program would double donations for projects involving cultural preservation, temporary art installations, free community events, activating disinvested spaces, bike/pedestrian safety events or other community building ideas with a total of $50,000 available.
