    CPD release new video of suspect wanted for November murder on South Side

    CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in hopes of locating a person of interest in a murder that occurred last November on the South Side.

    Chicago Police have released video surveillance video of the suspect from the Nov. 6, 2023 homicide at 89th and Justine, in the Brainerd neighborhood. He is seen exiting a building shortly before the time of the homicide. There is additional footage, after the incident, showing the person walking through an alley, carrying a red backpack.

    The suspect is seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with a strip down the sides, white belt as well as light colored, distinctive slippers.

    This occurred on a Monday afternoon, a little after noon. Chicago Police said 29-year-old Shya Clark was shot in the head. He died at the scene.
