    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - M&T Bank celebrated Dorothy Amerson-Law this week, a 50-year employee at the company who will soon be retiring. Amerson-Law co-founded M&T's African American Resource Group in Western New York. M&T has also introduced the Dorothy Amerson-Law Legacy Award which will be given to an employee annually that best demonstrates the company's core values.

    The SPCA Serving Erie County has received a $100,000 grant from PetSmart to expand veterinary services for residents on Buffalo's east side. SPCA President and CEO Cait Daly says "Through this grant we can bridge gaps to care, learn what services are truly needed, and hear firsthand what barriers are keeping folks from accessing us."

    Buffalo Center for the Arts and Technology has named Michael Cropp as its Board Chair. Cropp has been on the board since 2019 and is also the CEO at Independent Health.
