    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Tops is teaming up with Monster Energy Friday afternoon from 3-5 and Saturday afternoon from 12-2 at several local locations. Monster Energy will be offering samples of their drinks during the event. It's all in preparation for the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen, as driver Tyler Reddick is sponsored by Monster.

    The following locations will participate:
    -1600 Cedar St. in Elmira
    -568 W. Main St. in Arcade
    -128 W. Main St. in LeRoy
    -65 Grey St. in East Aurora
    -355 Orchard Park Rd. in West Seneca
    -4777 Transit Rd. in Depew
    -3507 Mt. Read Blvd. in Greece
    -2265 Downer St. in Baldwinsville
    -830 Consumer Sq. Plaza in Elmira

    A new developer has their eyes on the site of Deep South Taco in North Buffalo, with plans to tear down the restaurant to build a 58,000 sq. ft. mixed-use building, per Buffalo Business First. The project from Forward Development LLC would cost $20 million and include a five-story building with apartments and commercial space.

    D'Youville University has received Gold status from Military Friendly, a group that rates schools on benefits provided to members of the military. D'Youville President Dr. Lorrie Clemo says the designation is a testament to the University's commitment to veterans and active-duty military members pursuing a degree.
