MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties brought back its Blue Jeans and Bling for the third year in a row Tuesday night at Kegler’s Clubhouse.

Three teams of Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z battled it out Tuesday night in a bartending challenge at the clubhouse to raise money for United Way. Guests who attended could tip their favorite bartender either in person or through a text-to-give option.

Officials with United Way said all the money raised at the fundraiser stays in the two counties and will provide support for its 27 partner agencies .

Team members at the event sported pieces of jewelry from Jacqueline’s Fine Jewelry Store with the condition that if any of them were purchased, the jewelry store would donate a percentage of the sales to the United Way.

All tips received will go toward meeting the 2024 United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties’ Campaign goal, which they hope to surpass.
