CASS, W.Va. (WBOY) — School just started, but it’s not too early to think about planning Christmas break.

Tickets for Christmas at Cass, a festive steam powered train ride along the Greenbrier River in Pocahontas County, went on sale last week, and like most of the West Virginia Mountain Rail specialty excursions, are likely to sell out pretty quick.

Starting Dec. 5, rides are offered Thursday through Sunday in the weeks leading up to Christmas. A ticket gets you a seat on the 75-90 minute train ride and an included “special surprise gift” for children. While at Cass, enjoy other holiday activities like lights displays and visits from Santa.

A full schedule of Christmas at Cass related events will be announced by the Friends of Cass closer to December, according to the ticketing website .

Tickets start at $41 for children and $51 for adults with discounts offered for seniors and veterans.
