LOST CREEK, W.Va. (WBOY) — After battling a harsh summer drought, South Harrison High School’s Gary Barnette Field is finally getting some help thanks to a local excavation company.

This past weekend, Three Sixty Solutions, LLC came and hydroseeded the field after reading 12 News’ story last week about how dry it was. The Garrett Company in Weston also pitched in by donating seeds.

“We’re a part of the community. Our business is located in Lost Creek. So we always try to help out anyone in need,” Three Sixty Solutions owner Brandon Hudkins said.

Hydroseeding is a way of seeding an area of grass by combining a mixture of seeds, mulch, fertilizer, soil amendments and water into a slurry. This slurry is then applied to a surface at high pressure which leads to grass growth about a week or two later.

Three Sixty Solutions said it’s hard to predict when or if the field will be fully restored this football season, but that South Harrison should hopefully see some results in 10 to 14 days and hopefully in time for the first home football game against Liberty on Sept. 6.
