    Pennsylvania father faces homicide charges after allegedly shooting son

    ( WJET/WFXP ) – A 72-year-old man from Corry has been charged with homicide after fatally shooting his son Sunday night.

    Police report Gary S. Hulihan shot 48-year-old Patrick Hulihan in the abdomen after a verbal and physical confrontation.

    The shooting happened on Sunday around 7:30 p.m. in the 12,000 block of Carter Hill Road in Wayne Township.

    State police said during the altercation, Gary Hulihan shot his son with a .40 caliber Glock 22 handgun and then proceeded to drive him to Corry Memorial Hospital for treatment, where Corry police and Warren PSP were notified.

    Patrick Hulihan was pronounced dead at the facility.

    According to court paperwork, the 72-year-old is being charged with homicide, discharge of a firearm in an occupied structure and aggravated assault among other charges.

    He’s being held at the Erie County Prison without bond.
