WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The campaign trail runs through Luzerne County Saturday as former President Trump will hold a campaign rally at Mohegan Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township.

That’s where we find 28/22 News Reporter Andy Mehalshick live Saturday morning.

Traffic has been heavy all morning, as it wraps around the parking lot back into the city of Wilkes-Barre.

Traffic advisory during Donald Trump’s visit to Wilkes-Barre Twp.

Pennsylvania is a key battleground state, as many analysts say whoever wins the state is most likely to win the election.

Recent polling shows a very tight race between he and Vice-President Kamala Harris. Political analysts say the race is too close to call.

The former President is expected to focus on policy issues such as the economy, inflation, and border security.

Arena official tells me the arena is standing room only.

Also keep in mind traffic detours will be in place this afternoon. Interstate 81 North and South in this area will be closed as Trump’s motorcade makes its way to and from the rally.

The rally is expected to start at 4:00 p.m.
