    Drug raid at Edwardsville apartments results in six arrests

    EDWARDSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Six people have been arrested after police say they conducted a large drug raid at an Edwardsville apartment complex.

    After a months-long investigation involving multiple agencies, detectives executed a raid at Eagle Ridge Apartments in Edwardsville.

    According to the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, the raid was the result of multiple drug-related search warrants to seize narcotics from five different apartments in the Eagle Ridge complex.

    The raid seized quantities of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, ecstasy, prescription medication, and cash. The following six people were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation;

    • Theodis Brown, 52
      • Charges:
        • Delivery of crack cocaine, criminal use of a communication facility, possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, tampering with evidence
    • Raceedie Griffiths, 30
      • Charges:
        • Delivery of fentanyl, criminal use of a communication facility, possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, tampering with evidence
    • Christopher Belcher, 22
      • Charges:
        • Delivery of crack cocaine, criminal use of a communication facility
    • Najm Copper, 34
      • Chagres:
        • Delivery of fentanyl, criminal use of a communication facility, possession with the intent to deliver suboxone, possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl
    • Omar Kelly, 25
      • Chagres:
        • Delivery of fentanyl, criminal use of a communication facility, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine
    • Shakeal Robinson Evans, 35
      • Charges:
        • Delivery of crack cocaine, Criminal use of communication, Possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine

    Brown, Belcher, Copper, and Evans remain in the Luzerne County Prison on a $1 million cash bail. Kelly and Griffiths received no bail and remain in the county prison.
