Through further investigation, police learned that Canada and another man argued about missing items the man accused Canada of taking.

As stated in the affidavit, Canada hid a knife behind his back after the man threatened to punch him. After the man punched Canada, he stabbed the man twice in the shoulder, apologized, and fled the scene, officers stated.

Canada was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault with a weapon, and other related offenses.
