LORIS, S.C. (WBTW) — Six people are facing murder and attempted murder charges in last week’s deadly shooting near a Loris Bojangles, police said on Friday.

Kenasia Mart in, 22, of Greensboro, North Carolina , was killed in the Aug. 7 shooting on Walnut Street, authorities said. Lilly Janae Stephens of Tabor City, North Carolina, was previously arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder.

Loris police are charging five other people with murder and attempted murder, including William Goodman, Antonio Goodman, Feleshia Goodman, Ebony Vereen and Zarius Vereen.

Feleshia, Ebony and Zarius are awaiting extradition to Horry County from the Columbus County Detention Center in North Carolina.

Police responded just after 12:20 p.m. to Walnut Street on Aug. 7 for a shots fired complaint, authorities said. While at the scene, officers spoke with Martin and another woman, who said that Feleshia came to their house and kicked the door in before a physical altercation ensued. However, Feleshia wasn’t there when police were and during additional questioning, the victims became uncooperative and did not want to pursue charges.

Then, 30 minutes later, officers responded to the 4000 block of Main Street for an assault complaint, police said. Antonio told 911 that his daughter, Feleshia, was assaulted at a mobile home in the 4000 block of Walnut Street. Officers then went to Walnut Street but couldn’t find a victim of the assault.

At about 1 p.m. that day, officers responded back to the 4000 block of Main Street for a complaint of a stolen cell phone, police said. The woman said that Feleshia followed her and Martin from their Walnut Street home to the Main Street location. She said that Feleshia was “very upset” after finding out that she and Martin were in a relationship together and confronted them at the gas station.

The shooting survivor said she pulled her phone out to record when Feleshia took it and ran, according to police. The woman and Martin returned to their home while officers reviewed the footage.

A little more than 20 minutes later, officers responded back to Walnut Street for the shooting, police said. Responding officers found the two victims, Martin and a 26-year-old woman, inside a black SUV. Martin died at a Loris hospital, while the other woman was taken to Grand Strand hospital and survived.

During the investigation, Loris police, with the assistance of the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, Horry County police, U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, Chadbourne police and Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, identified and arrested all six people allegedly involved in the shooting.
