20-year-old killed in shooting near Loris, 2 others hurt, authorities say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting that also hurt two other people on Sunday evening, authorities said.

Anari “Nari” As-Sabur died at a local hospital, Deputy Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden said. He was from Loris.

It happened on Wright Road outside of Loris near the North Carolina border. Horry County police were called to the area at about 6 p.m. and said there was no immediate threat to community members.

Two of the victims were taken to the hospital in personal vehicles, according to a police report. No additional details about the incident were immediately available.
