SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — For many, Labor Day weekend means an extra day off to visit Grand Strand restaurants and, of course, ice cream shops.

Drippy’s Homemade Ice Cream Shop is located at the Surfside Beach pier and has been a fan-favorite for more than 50 years.

Zoe Knick has worked at the shop for the past four years and said she can see a difference in the number of customers between the summer and winter months.

“It’s amazing how many people are still here coming to vacation, but this will be our last little good week,” Knick said. “We’ll still be a little busy but we’ll slow down a good little bit.”

Knick said even though it’s not as busy in the colder months, people still love to get their ice cream.
