MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — If you like to shop and you like good deals, you won’t want to miss South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale this weekend at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Over 10,000 residents and visitors flock to the convention center to find new and used goods.

This is the 35th year of the event, which is filled with more than 100,000 square-feet of anything you can imagine.

They have clothes, jewelry, hats, sports memorabilia and much more.

Tiffany Andrews, the sales and marketing administrator at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, said vendors sign up as early as July and are eager to start setting up.

“We sell out in, like, less than an hour, sometimes in 30 minutes spaces are gone,” she said. “But are they excited? Yes, they are very much excited. Anytime a site can go live and spaces sell out within an hour, I’ve never seen it live for three hours.”

Andrews said visitors attend from all over the country.

“All the way from, like, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Virginia, even down to Georgia and of course North Carolina and South Carolina obviously,” she said.

The average age of people attending the garage sale is about 46, but Andrews said there’s something for everyone. She said the garage sale was originally at the parking deck across from the pavilion but was later moved to the convention center for better access for the vendors.

There will be more than 350 vendors, and Andrews gave some insight as to what kinds of things will be sold.

“When there’s something for everyone, there’s something for everyone, even down to sports memorabilia, or things to fill your man cave, sporting equipment, things that you wonder, ‘Why does that person have a stuffed otter?’” she said.

Andrews said it feels great to be named South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale and they look forward to seeing people of all ages attend every year.

Admission is free but parking is $5. The event will be Saturday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
