DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Dorchester County arrested a 35-year-old man on multiple narcotics offenses.

Affidavits from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office show an informant met up with Fernandes Rakeem Lee on at least four occasions – between March 13 and July 23 – to purchase drugs.

The informant was used to conduct what the sheriff’s office said was a controlled purchase of methamphetamine. They were equipped with an audio and video recording device and was issued pre-recorded buy money.

Documents show the exchanges happened at a residence in Dorchester County and included a crystal rock-like substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine on each occasion.

Lee was arrested Thursday morning and taken to the L.C. Knight Dorchester County Detention Center where he faces four counts of ‘trafficking in methamphetamine or cocaine 28 grams or more but less than 100 grams,’ a first offense.

The case is being investigated by the Dorchester County and Summerville Police Metro Narcotics Unit and the United States DEA Charleston field office.

    The investigation is ongoing.
