CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Lowcountry will experience slightly cooler temperatures this week as it transitions into a fall-like weather pattern. This change is not expected to last long, according to Storm Team 2.

Meteorologist Grace Lowe says temperatures on Tuesday fall in the mid to upper 80s, which are below the average temperatures for this time of year.

“Most of us – we’re staying dry for the first half of your day. We have that risk of some stronger storms possible passing on through – especially in our coastal areas, that’s going to be later this afternoon,” said Lowe.

Storm Team 2 says the showers will not be widespread and most areas will remain dry.

“Keep your rain gear close by because these temperatures come at a price – possibly some more rain especially for your weekend,” Lowe added.

Temperatures in the mid to upper 80s are expected throughout the rest of this week.

“We do have a cool down this week but then after that we’re certainly going to see temperatures go back up in the low 90s right where we’re supposed to be for this time of year,” said Lowe.
