    Mount Pleasant firefighter retires after 27 years of service

    MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A longtime Mount Pleasant firefighter has signed off for the final time.

    Firefighter Jeremy Ray is being recognized for his dedicated service to the Mount Pleasant Fire Department and the town as he retires after 27 years.

    Battalion Chief Matthew Tidwell called Ray a steadfast figure in the department who embodied bravery, dedication, and brotherhood.

    “His unwavering commitment to safeguarding our community and his constant support for his fellow firefighters have left a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come,” said Tidwell. “Jeremy, you are a friend to us all. On behalf of the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, we offer our heartfelt thanks and best wishes as you move forward into the next chapter of your life.”

    Ray was assigned to Fire Station 4 in Mount Pleasant.
