WCIA 3 to host first Remarkable Women live special

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Throughout March, WCIA 3 has been introducing you to several remarkable women from Central Illinois. Tonight, at 6:30 p.m., it all concludes in a 30-minute live special, a first-of-a-kind show for WCIA.

The four finalists will be joined by their families. WCIA’s Karina Rubio will introduce the women and discuss all of the impactful work they do for their communities.

Back in March, we introduced you to the four finalists from across Central Illinois — one from Pleasant Plains, two from Champaign and one from Monticello.

Your nominations came in earlier this year, and a WCIA committee made up of different departments across the station, reviewed the 200 nominations, scored them and came up with the four finalists.

Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. on WCIA 3 as we honor them with a live celebration special.
