WATSEKA, Ill. (WCIA) — A filmmaker and Central Illinois native is returning to his old stomping grounds to film a horror feature in Iroquois County.

Joshua Brucker’s past works have spanned Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, and Georgia. Now, he hopes to create a found footage horror — titled “Untitled Film” — with a background placed in and around Watseka.

“I’m excited about finally filming in my own back yard, in a sense,” Brucker said. “I’m grateful that my short career has allowed me to travel and film in some gorgeous parts of our country, but I’m just happy to be home and doing what I love this go-around.”

“Untitled Film” follows two young adults investigating a string of disappearances that may have been perpetrated by a rumored serial killer. But their journey carries them to something much older and more nefarious.

The movie will star Tori Zanoni, Rodney Snyder, Clifford Dunigan, and Hunter Nino.

“As a found footage horror fan, this film has everything I love about the genre. It is a direct sequel to one of my previous films, but we expand the lore in a very creative way and we up the stakes, offering a bit more mystery and tension,” Brucker said. “We are telling the story in a way that lets this stand on its own feet. I think audiences will love what we are putting together.”

“Untitled Film” won’t be Brucker’s first rodeo with feature-length films. He also directed “Mothman,” “The Woodmen,” and “Split Screen.” He also has two short films on the way.

Brucker is currently looking for local talent for small, single-day roles. Filming is scheduled for the end of May. To apply, email grayskypictures@gmail.com .
