Decatur McDonald’s gives 50th birthday surprise to longtime employee

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — In Decatur, a longtime McDonald’s employee was surprised for her 50th birthday and Mother’s Day.

Tiffany Jarrett has been working at the West Eldorado Street location for the last 30 years. Through that time, she’s raised four kids and made countless friends and connections within the community. Every day of her career, she’s been a positive role model for many crew members.

A party was planned for her upcoming 50th birthday, and for another surprise gift, her kids and grandchildren were there to see the smile on her face.

“I’ve never had anything done like this before, ever,” Jarrett said. “I always go out for other people, you know, and for someone to go out for me like this — it’s crazy. Incredible.”

She’s also been nominated to be recognized in a national McDonald’s employee appreciation program.
