Unity football ranked No. 50 in IHSA anniversary rankings

TOLONO, Ill. (WCIA) — The IHSA has officially named the Unity Rockets one of the 50 best football programs in the state.

In honor of the 50th anniversary playoff seasons for high school football and volleyball, the IHSA is releasing a list of the top 50 programs in each sport.

“When making a list of Central Illinois’ top small school programs you wouldn’t have much of a list if Unity wasn’t included rather quickly,” says the IHSA release. The Rockets have a 377-158 record in the playoff era, with 31 playoff appearances and six state championship appearances.
