    Urbana shares parking enforcement changes during U of I move-in week

    URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The City of Urbana and Urbana Police Department are offering leniency on some parking enforcements with University of Illinois move-ins.

    As car and foot traffic increases with the arrival of students, police advise drivers and pedestrians to get familiar with Urbana laws around campus.

    Champaign-Urbana MTD announces new changes as 2024-25 service year begins

    From 6 a.m. on Aug. 18 – 25, their Parking Enforcement Division will not enforce restricted areas in the campus district to accommodate incoming student traffic. City officials said students moving in between Aug. 20 – 22 must adhere to the following traffic flow:

    Parking meters will continue to be enforced, except for streets blocked by Public Works.
