The event is for both established and prospective contractors. Attendees will learn how to tell if they are qualified and how to bid on City of Decatur Public Works and Economic & Community Development projects.

“City Council has long had a goal for minority contractor participation in City projects, and we want to continue offering equal opportunities to do business with the City,” officials wrote in a Facebook post.

Officials ask anyone interested should RSVP to the Metro Decatur Black Chamber of Commerce by emailing nmitchell.mdbcc@gmail.com.
