CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — For a second straight season, Illini Basketball will see a high-major opponent in it’s exhibition schedule.

Illinois will play at Ole Miss October 27 starting at 1:00 p.m. CT. in a game that will benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of North Mississippi, which helps advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in proceedings through youth courts.

Last season, the Illini hosted preseason No. 1 Kansas in a charity exhibition in Bill Self’s first trip back to Champaign since his departure from the program.

That game raised about $825,000 for the Maui Strong Fund aiding wildfire relief efforts.
