    Highway lane closures announced across Miami Valley

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — In the midst of construction season, here are some traffic advisories to keep in mind for the week ahead.

    The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced several lane and ramp closures across the Miami Valley for the week of May 20.

    Dayton road to close for construction this week

    I-75

    I-75 will see new lane closures across Miami and Shelby counties this week.

    In Miami County, drivers will see intermittent lane closures in both directions on I-75 at E. Miami Shelby Road. This closure will be in effect from Thursday, May 16 to Saturday, June 8 from midnight to 6 a.m. each day.

    In Shelby County, southbound drivers can expect intermittent lane closures between Fair Road and Kirkwood Road from Thursday, May 16 to Saturday, June 8.

    Both closures will allow crews to repair the roadway.

    Contraflow lane to handle traffic with repairs incoming on I-75

    US-35

    Beginning Tuesday, May 21, drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on U.S. Route 35 at Gettysburg Avenue. Crews will be inspecting the bridge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

    LOOKING AHEAD: As part of the US-35 Woodman Drive construction project, the ramps to and from Woodman Drive to eastbound US-35 will be closed between Monday, June 3 and Monday, June 24.

    This closure will allow for the interchange to be reconfigured. Drivers can use Linden Avenue to S. Smithville Road to access eastbound US-35.
