WARREN COUNTY, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A motorcyclist was found dead in Turtlecreek Township on Thursday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a worker with the Warren County Engineer’s Office discovered a motorcyclist dead on Oregonia Road on Aug. 15.

Man found dead in West Chester parking lot

Preliminary investigation determined that Travis Wenzler, 47 of Oregonia, was operating a 2004 Honda motorcycle on Aug. 14 between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

While negotiating a curve, the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a traffic sign. The motorcyclist was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by OSP’s Lebanon Post. Troopers were assisted on scene by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Turtlecreek EMS and the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
