    ‘Significant damage’ caused at local water pumping station

    KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities are investigating after “significant damage” occurred in Kettering.

    The Kettering Police Department responded to Greater Moraine Water System Pumping Station No. 3 around 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 18 to the 600 block of E. David Road in Kettering. Officers were sent in reference to an alarm.

    When officers arrived at the scene, they found unknown individuals had reportedly forced their way into the building and caused “significant damage.” Photos taken by Kettering Police appears to show broken glass, spraying water and more.

    Nearby residents are asked to check their security camera footage for anything that could help investigators.
