Family of Troy woman seeks birthday cards for 90th birthday

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — The family of a Miami County woman wants to celebrate her birthday in a big way.

According to our partner at Miami Valley Today , the family of Troy resident Lois (Shade) Benning is collecting birthday cards for her 90th birthday celebration on Monday, Sept. 2.

Our partner reports the family will hold a “card shower” with Benning to celebrate her special day.

After graduating from Newton Schools, she returned to the district where she spent decades working in the cafeteria, our partner reports. She was also cafeteria manager for multiple years as well.
