    Trooper cites driver for going 134 mph on I-675

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped a car from driving over double the posted speed limit this week.

    A trooper with OSP’s Xenia Post conducted a traffic stop on a driver going 134 miles per hour on I-675. This happened around 1 a.m. on Aug. 20.

    The posted speed limit for I-675 is 65 miles per hour. During the traffic stop, the driver was cited for excessive speed.

    This is the second 100+ mph speed citation reported by OSP this week. In a separate instance, a driver was cited for going 124 miles per hour in the same area of I-675.

    OSP reports that in the past five years, Ohio has seen over 1,800 speed-related crashes.
