    14-year-old dies in Darke County dirt bike crash

    DARKE COUNTY, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A teenager was killed in a dirt bike accident on Saturday.

    Darke County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies and medics were sent to the 9100 block of State Route 121 in reference to a single vehicle dirt bike crash.

    ATV crash kills 1, seriously injures another

    Upon arrival, authorities found a Kawasaki 250x dirt bike was traveling northbound in the side ditch running parallel to State Route 121 when it collided with a utility pole. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle.

    As a result of injuries, the rider died at the scene. He has been identified as 14-year-old Wyatt Reese of Bradford.

    Reese was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

    The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office. Versailles Fire and Rescue assisted deputies on scene.
