Large Tree Limb Falls on Two Victims
A tree limb fell onto a sidewalk in Manchester on Thursday afternoon, hitting two people and smashing a car. A man and woman were sitting on the sidewalk near the intersection of Hanover and Union streets when the branch came down. Firefighters spent several minutes working to free the two who were trapped. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A parked car was also badly damaged. According to fire officials, the victims said there was a big gust of wind just before the branch fell.
