WEATHERLY, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman was charged after police say she was found intoxicated and fought officers multiple times while being arrested.

On Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. Weatherly Police were called for reports of a woman who appeared to be under the influence, walking around the town.

The woman was screaming that she “did meth” and a witness stated they were afraid she was going to walk into traffic and hurt herself, police said. Officers arrived on the scene and found the woman, identifying her as Sharon Brobst, 37, of Zion Grove.

Investigators say Brobst showed signs of being intoxicated and resisted as they attempted to place her under arrest. Once officers returned to police headquarters with Brobst, they said she again fought them while they placed her into a holding cell.

Brobst was charged with resting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. She remains in the Carbon County Correctional Facility after not posting the $2,000 bail.
