“Unpatriotic” Disco Inferno Loses Olympics Wager To Konnan

While he made his name in WCW, Disco Inferno, real name, Glenn Gilbertti, is nowadays best known for being Konnan’s podcast co-host and a notorious AEW hater. And while he currently lives in Las Vegas and has done so for many years, it appears he hasn’t picked up any gambling skills from the locals.

That is because, despite the USA Basketball Men’s Olympic Team being considerable favorites to win gold at the Olympics, Gilberrti bet Konnan $100 they wouldn’t and obviously lost. Therefore, Konnan has taken to X to acknowledge his win and attempt to stop Gilberrti from reneging on the wager.

56-year-old Gilbertti made his name in WCW during the mid to late 90s and looked like a potential future star at one time. However, despite holding singles titles in the promotion, he never rose above a mid-carder, and when the WWE purchased the WCW brand, he opted to sit out his contract, potentially missing out on joining Vince McMahon’s company. Subsequently, he would work for the Australian-based promotion World Wrestling All-Stars and TNA but never achieved his WCW career heights again and now works at a strip club.
