News recently broke that AEW’s disciplinary committee had fined and suspended Dr. Britt Baker following a backstage dispute with fellow AEW original MJF. According to reports at the time, the incident occurred following the conclusion of Dynamite’s 250th episode after Baker said something unfavorable about MJF in the women’s locker room, and his girlfriend Alicia Atout overheard and told the AEW American Champion.

Subsequently, it would also be claimed that MJF punched a wall out of anger, which left fans wondering why Baker would be suspended while MJF wasn’t. However, during a just-released interview with Cultaholic , MJF has addressed this situation, claiming that “ almost everything that was written didn’t happen.

“Tell me if this passes the smell test. I barge into a woman’s locker room. I scream in the face of a 110-pound woman, and then I physically threaten her by punching a wall in her vicinity, and I don’t get suspended. Does that pass the smell test to you? Almost everything that was written didn’t happen. Everybody has co-workers at work they may not get along with.”

MJF and Baker have been with AEW from the very beginning and pushed as homegrown stars. Therefore, it was disappointing for fans to hear about even more backstage drama coming from Tony Khan’s promotion. Yet, based on MJF’s comments, it now appears that reports may have been exaggerated, and therefore, hopefully, whatever actually occurred between the duo can be left in the past.
