WWE Hall Of Famer Makes Surprise GCW Appearance

Having been connected to WWE for the majority of the past 30 years, JBL would recently make headlines when he made a surprise AAA appearance alongside Nic Nemeth at last weekend’s Triplemanía XXXII: Mexico City show. However, indicating that he is more than happy to take non-WWE bookings from now on, the WWE Hall of Famer has now appeared for GCW during the first night of their Homecoming event, taking out Effy with Two Clotheslines From Hell.

After initially attempting to have a football career, JBL began training to wrestle in 1992, and by 1995, it was working for WWE. And while he would have multiple gimmicks over the years, it wasn’t until 2004 that his career peaked, with WWE making him a main eventer following Brock Lesnar’s departure from the company. Subsequently, JBL would win the WWE Championship from Eddie Guerrero and held it for 280 days, finally dropping it to John Cena at WrestleMania 21.
