Dark Side Of The Ring mainly examines the more problematic side of the pro wrestling industry. Yet, some episodes have focused on the lives of those who have done no wrong and are more of a cautionary tale. And now, during the latest episode of his popular podcast , Jim Ross has revealed that, somewhat unexpectedly, Mick Foley is set to be featured in the next series.

Precisely what Foley’s episode will cover wasn’t disclosed. However, unless the WWE Hall of Famer has some unexplored skeletons in his closet, it will likely cover the lasting effects of the injuries he sustained over his 28-year career.

“I did an interview the other day on Mick Foley’s Dark Side piece. They really liked it. Evan and those guys really liked it, they told me. It’s very honest. That will be coming up whenever it’s released, I don’t know.”

59-year-old Foley last wrestled in 2012, when he participated in the Royal Rumble match, and his final full-time run ended with TNA two years earlier. Nevertheless, Foley did almost face Jon Moxley when he was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE at SummerSlam 2012, but due to the head trauma and skeletal damage he had previously suffered, he couldn’t get medically cleared. Therefore, given this and the fact he suffered a concussion from just working out earlier this year, it’s definitely for the best that he remains out of the ring.
