TMZ Reports More Details On Artem Chingvintsev’s Shocking Arrest

On Thursday, news broke that Artem Chingvintsev, known for appearing on Dancing With The Stars and being the husband of Nikki Garcia, had been arrested on a domestic violence charge. Still, besides that, very little other information was known, although it was later discovered that Chingvintsev’s brother-in-law Bryan Danielson had unfollowed him on Instagram.

However, TMZ has since been digging into the situation and revealed that 42-year-old Chingvintsev actually called 911 himself to request medical assistance and that Garcia had thrown shoes at him. Yet, while the Russian dancer would later cancel the request for help, cops would turn up an hour later and, after finding visible injuries on the victim, arrested Chingvintsev.

Chingvintsev initially gained fame on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK before relocating to the US and competing on Dancing with the Stars. This would see him dance with celebrities such as Nancy Kerrigan, Lea Thompson, Mischa Barton, and most notably, Nikki Garcia, then known by her WWE name of Bella. Initially, the dancer and now wrestler would become close friends, although after Garcia’s highly publicized relationship with John Cena ended, they began dating and subsequently started a family together.
