Tony Schiavone Discloses The Personal Reason He Won’t Watch Netflix’s “Mr. McMahon” Docuseries

Later this month, Netflix’s highly anticipated “Mr. McMahon” docuseries will begin streaming. Yet while it’s expected to be the talk of the wrestling world, it’s been confirmed that at least one of McMahon’s former talents won’t be watching. This is because Tony Schiavone, who briefly worked for WWE has revealed on his podcast that because sportswriter Bill Simmons is an executive producer, he won’t be watching, saying that Simmons “ said some terrible things ” about his work in WCW.

“I will never watch anything Bill Simmons does. He can go suck a d*ck. Bill was very critical of me during the WCW years, and you know what said some very terrible things … Had I known he was one of the founders of 30 for 30, I wouldn’t have watched any of them.”

As the 66-year-old AEW commentator didn’t disclose Simmons’ past remarks about him, it’s hard to judge whether he is overreacting. However, a Google search reveals that Simmons has previously criticized Schiavone for overhyping WCW pay-per-views, which, to be fair, was his job at the time.
