Broken glass forces closing of Crompton Park pool
WORCESTER — The city pool at Crompton Park will be closed until Saturday after pieces of glass were found in the water. Workers will need to drain the pool and search the floor for any glass. Refilling the pool and balancing chemicals will add to the timetable. A clear bottle had apparently been thrown over a fence during hours the pool was closed. There was glass on the pool deck and in the water. Meantime, high temperatures will continue Wednesday, with readings in the 90s, before slight cooling Thursday and Friday, when the 80s return.
