Record-long heat waves finally over across New Hampshire
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Relief has arrived from the humidity and the high heat, which means an end to the record-long heat wave we’ve seen this month. Rochester saw a whopping 15 days in a row where the high temperature reached 90 degrees or more, while Manchester saw 14 consecutive days -- two straight weeks -- in the 90s, and Concord broke their official nine-day record of the longest heat wave by seeing 12 days back-to-back of 90-degree heat.

NHDES Beach Inspection Program tests for the presence of fecal bacteria in the waters of public freshwater and coastal beaches throughout New Hampshire. To help inform the public of potentially unsafe swimming conditions, NHDES will issue an advisory when bacteria levels exceed the state criteria.
Manchester Woman Injured in Rollover Crash on I-293 Overpass
Manchester, NH – A single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 293 on Thursday afternoon led to the hospitalization of one local resident. According to State Troopers from the Troop B barracks in Bedford, the incident occurred at 2:35 p.m. on I-293 southbound at the Brown Avenue overpass. The Manchester Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene, finding Alexandria Ellis, 53, of Manchester, trapped inside her silver 2004 Ford Explorer. Firefighters extricated Ellis, who was then transported to Elliot Hospital with minor injuries.
