Gibson Southern Lady Titans to play for state championship

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- It’s a big weekend for a Tri-State High School, as the Gibson Southern Lady Titans Basketball team will play for a State Championship.

The Championship game will take place against Norwell on Saturday night at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, but today the community is invited to help send off the team.

At around 8:30 a.m. the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office will escort the team east on Coal Mine Road to Highway 41 north, then to 68 East and finally to interstate 69.

The community is encouraged to line the route as the team heads north to Indianapolis.
