    Witness in Amy Word trial enters plea agreement

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A key witness in former EVSC School Board member, Amy Word’s drug trial has entered a plea in his own case.

    Traffic stop turns up six pounds of marijuana

    Demario Holman was arrested in 2022, following a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking along Franklin Street in Evansville, including at Lamasco Bar and Grill which was owned by Word. Holman testified in Word’s trial in June that he sold drugs to numerous patrons and employees at Lamasco, including Word herself. Word was found guilty of maintaining a common nuisance in that trial.

    Holman is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
